Created and hosted by poet R. O’Donnell “®“, featuring the fine talents of local poets, the Poetry Scream hits the podium tonight, Thursday June 30th at 8pm sharp.

Last week Ben Bellows Lichty returned to the podium with a far out collection of groovy heart-felt originals while Scream first timer Steve B. read a few of his favorite  poets to rock our consciousness as San Francisco implant Steve King redefined “be here now”.  Tenzing  treated us to an entire read of his new book of poems, as did Brigatte, and Ahren Howard proved poetry can be dangerous after all.  Rapper Patrick hit the stage and free formed his ass off  while Applicate International Family Jamboree played rhythms to message the ears terrific.

If you write poetry and love to perform, sign up is 7:30pm or contact us now at poetryscream@gmail.com.

The Poetry Scream, a fast-paced poetry reading whereby uncensored poets are unleashed at the podium, will continue every other Thursday at The Boiler Room, 8pm sharp.  This is a free event.

The Boiler Room is a non-profit all-ages venue for music, art, poetry, and theater.  A youth-run business, The Boiler Room fosters a culture of volunteers and celebrates community, growth, learning and empowerment of youth and the young-at-heart. We are located in the heart of a small Victorian seaport (Port Townsend, Washington State) in the Pacific Northwest.
